I have scoured the internet to find free stuff. I love free stuff...especially samples. There are many places on the web that show you where to get free samples but the best place I've found for samples is Wal-mart.com. All you have to do is type "free samples" onto the search box on their website and you will find many samples. I just received my free sample of Crest teeth whitening strips. It's great!

Hey guys, I know everyone hates Wal Mart but for those of us who are poor college students, sometimes it's the best route to go. My professor for Biology was the greenest person I know but he gave some very wise advice about recycling paper. He said " Use as much paper for notes as you need, I don't care if you use 10 sheets a day...you can always recycle when you graduate." I like that advice so I'm applying it to Wal Mart. You can shop somewhere else when you have graduated and have a good paying job.

Many people probably already know this but I'm just going to reinforce it because I recently went shopping there and was amazed at how much I saved. If you get the ads for other grocery stores like Bashas, Safeway, Fry's or any other store; If their prices happen to be a lot cheaper than Wal Mart's, just take the ad and tell the cashier while he/she is scanning the order. They will charge you the other store's price. I did this last week and got 10 grocery items for 8 dollars! If I hadn't I would have spent 20 dollars guaranteed.

Don't worry about looking stupid, a lot of people do it.

Are you one of those people who likes to organize their time or make lists for everything? Do you buy over-priced organizers only to find that it doesn't accommodate your specific needs? I AM one of those people. For this reason I like to customize and print my own schedules and calendars. A professor of mine told me that she bought a nice leather organizer for 95% off because it was from last year. All she had to do was print out her own planners and stick it into the nice leather case. Free Stuff is Everywhere

I'm not new to being poor, but there have been times in my life when I wasn't as poor as I am now. I have a degree in Biology and Chemistry but in this rough economy, that means absolutely zip in terms of getting a job. So...I am currently jobless but I am going back to school to get a degree in surgical technology. In the meantime I am living with my grandparents while struggling to pay for my bills. If there's one thing I know, it's that complaining does nothing for your current situation. You have to do something about it. When I'm not out searching for a job or studying, I'm looking for new resources to help me get through it all. In situations where I would normally pay a ton of money for something I have discovered another way to get it for little or FREE!

Here is a short list of things I have recently discovered. I will add more every couple of weeks:

If you have a pretty good Internet connection, Hulu.com is an awesome place to watch t.v and movies for free. I'm so poor I can't even afford to watch television, so in my free time I take my laptop to my local library and catch up on t.v. It's great.

This is by far my favorite find ever. When I bought my laptop, it didn't come with MS office. I desperately needed it but didn't have near enough money to purchase it. This site saved my life; Openoffice.org. It is almost identical to the MS office programs except for a few minor details. It has PowerPoint, spreadsheet, publisher and more.

If you have a few bucks that you can spend and want to purchase MS office you can get it MUCH cheaper. The only catch is that you have to be a student. They require that you send them your class schedule and then they will confirm it and send you the program for dirt cheap. The Website is JourneyEd.com and you can save $309.00 !!

I am one of those students that universities and colleges hate because I never buy my books at their bookstores. Why buy from them when I can get them 80% cheaper somewhere else? In the past I have gone to bookstores for used books or online to buy my textbooks. However I have recently discovered a website that let's you borrow books. It's called Chegg.com. All you have to pay is pay for the shipping to receive it and send it back (if you want to).
